Gates open at 6pm. Show times are always subject to change however; we expect entertainment to start at 7pm and finish at 10.30pm. We would suggest arriving early to soak up the atmosphere.

Delivery options are detailed on Ticketmaster when purchasing your tickets.

Tickets are available to be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Tickets can also be purchased in person or by phone through the on-site box office. 

We recommend purchasing your tickets online, however, if you are unable to buy online the on-site box office will answer your call as soon as possible.

We actively encourage all of our customers to only buy their tickets through our official outlets. Our main agent for all shows is Ticketmaster, nobody else is officially selling tickets for TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre in 2024. Tickets can be purchased via our box office, their ticket sales are also through Ticketmaster.

Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 and over who has their own ticket. Children aged 2 and under can attend for free and don’t require a ticket. All other children must have a full price ticket to enter the venue. Please be aware no prams are permitted at TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

Certain shows may have age restrictions on the standing area please check before booking tickets.

Rows with a double letter e.g. AA-BB are not situated towards to the front of the block and instead begin after rows A-Z - Please be advised that for any ticket purchased in the coloured blocks you will have to climb steep stairs to get there - Please be advised that people around you may stand during the performance.

All bars and food are cashless.

Our Merchandise stand accept cash and card.

Food and drink are not permitted however there are food and drink concessions within the event.

1 x sealed water bottle/soft drink is permitted per person max 500ml

Animals are not permitted on site, with the exception of registered assistance dogs. Please email OAT@scarborough.gov.uk if you are bringing a registered assistance dog so we can make sure your seats are suitable.

Yes, if available, official merchandise will be available to purchase within the venue. Customers are advised not to buy merchandise from vendors outside the venue as these are not licensed suppliers and the quality of products cannot be guaranteed.

There are three designated smoking areas within the venue. These are located at the North, South and top of the venue.

Unfortunately for Health and Safety reasons, there will not be an opportunity for the general public to leave and re-enter the venue. A strict policy of no re-admission to the venue will be enforced.

Electronic cigarettes are not permitted for use within the venue seating/standing area.

To assist with this, guests who wish to use these devices are requested to do so within the immediate vicinity of the identified smoking areas.

If you smoke in the standing or seating areas or any other area other than the designated places you may be asked to leave the venue. In this event you will not be offered a refund or permitted re-entry to the venue.

We do not have an area for guests to leave coats, bags, cameras, umbrellas or any other items.

Yes, please ensure you dress for the weather and don’t forget your sun cream!

Absolutely! Concerts are only ever cancelled due to the weather if the conditions become dangerous. However, you cannot bring an umbrella, so please dress appropriately. The show will continue to go ahead if it rains and there will be no refunds offered should you chose to leave due to weather. The show will only be cancelled or stopped if the weather becomes dangerous.

Travel

The Open Air Theatre is situated on Burniston Road (A165) YO12 6PF

If you are driving to a concert there is ample parking in close proximity to the venue

  • Scalby Mills Car Park YO12 6RP - 180 Cars and 6 Coaches
  • Marine and Royal Albert Drive YO11 1PG - 794 cars
  • Northstead Upper YO12 6AQ - 556 cars
  • Northstead Lower YO12 6PF - 98    cars
  • Victoria Park YO12 7TS - 36 cars
  • William Street YO12 7PL - 110 cars and 33 coaches

In addition, there are a number of car parks located in the Town Centre within a 15-minute walk to the venue.

REMEMBER PARKING IN ALL COUNCIL CAR PARKS IS FREE AFTER 6pm

Please be considerate and do not park on grass verges, across driveways or where an obstruction may occur.


Traffic arriving from the North along the A165 from Whitby direction will be directed towards Northstead Upper Car Park.  On the A165 just after the junction with Cross Lane vehicles will be directed straight on.

Just before the former Burniston Road Car Park vehicles will be directed to take a right turn onto Weydale Avenue.

There will be a sign at the junction with Weydale Avenue directing vehicles to take a right turn onto Weydale Avenue then a left turn onto Ryndle Crescent. This then takes them to Northstead Upper Car Parks.

Any vehicles looking for parking nearer and going straight on ignoring these signs will be directed to take a right turn at the junction of Northstead Manor Drive and a right turn at the junction with Ryndle Crescent. This takes vehicles back to Northstead Upper Car Parks.

There are two Southern approaches one along Columbus Ravine and the other around the Marine and Royal Albert Drive.

Approaching from Columbus Ravine

Vehicles will be directed from the bottom part of Columbus Ravine take the first exit from the roundabout onto Burniston Road. Just after this point vehicles will be directed to take a left turn up Northstead Manor Drive and then a right turn onto Ryndle Crescent taking these vehicles to Northstead Upper Car Parks.

Approaching from Royal Albert Drive

From the Royal Albert Drive vehicle s will be directed to take the second exit from the roundabout on Burniston Road

Just after this point vehicles will be directed to take a left turn up Northstead Manor Drive and then a right turn onto Ryndle Crescent taking these vehicles to Northstead Upper Car Parks.

Official Taxi Ranks are located on Peasholm Gap when leaving the venue from the South Entrance

Local taxi firms involve: Nippy taxi ( 01723 377377) , Beeline Taxi ( 01723 366666) and Boro cars (01723 361111).

Buses to the South Bay and Town Centre also run after the shows from Peasholm Gap.

The nearest train station is Scarborough - YO11 1TN.

As these are private operators there will be a charge for these services.

There are places to pick up and drop of located at Peasholm Gap which is just around the corner from TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre.  This is approximately a 5-minute walk.

Accessibility

We want TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre to be an event accessible for all. To ensure we have the correct level of facilities we ask customers to purchase the correct type of accessible ticket on Ticketmaster. The following options will be available:

If accessible tickets (Wheelchair, Ambulant, Deaf / Hard of Hearing and Companion) are not showing up as an option to purchase on Ticketmaster, this means unfortunately it has sold out therefore unavailable to buy.

There is an option to select a companion ticket when you are purchasing an accessible ticket. Once you have selected a companion ticket, there will be an approval process. For the approval process, you will be contacted to provide supporting documentation for validation of your request.

If your request for an essential companion ticket is not approved, the access team can advise on the procedure.

An ambulant ticket is for customers who have a medical requirement for an essential companion to attend the TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

For a fully seated show, an ambulant customer will be allocated an end of row seat on the floor seating.

For a standing show, an ambulant customer will be allocated a seat on the wheelchair platform.

There are two wheelchair viewing platforms at the TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre. The wheelchair platform is a raised platform located with prime view of the stage.

The wheelchair viewing platforms has a limited capacity and is strictly for access customers plus 1 essential companion.  A member of staff is located on each platform to offer any help that may be needed.

The toilets are easily accessible and are located at each end of the venue and close to the platforms.

If you are an accessible customer and require a car parking space, we would recommend parking in the Northstead Lower Car Park 

If the Northstead Lower Car Park is full, we recommend parking on Royal Albert Drive. The path from this car park to the theatre is flat which may be more suited to those in a wheelchair. It is approximately 10-15-minute walk to the Open Air Theatre from Royal Albert Drive and may not be suitable for ambulant customers. 

The car parking spaces are on a first come, first served basis, therefore it is recommended that you arrive early to ensure a parking space which is suitable for your needs.

Smoke machines, strobe lights, lasers, fireworks and other effects may be in use at this event. Anyone affected by these should bear this in mind.

You are permitted to bring required medication into TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre. Please bring a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s note. Please make sure you only bring enough for the duration of the concert and ensure you keep it safe with you at all times.

Assistant Dogs are permitted on site. If you require to bring a registered assistant dog.

We will be providing a BSL interpreter for all Scarborough Open Air Theatre 2024 concerts.

Please note that TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre accessible facilities cannot cater for people with temporary impairments such as broken bones, healing injuries and those who are pregnant.

Safety & Security

Bags larger than an A4 piece of paper are not permitted. All bags are subject to a search so please avoid bringing one where you can as this would speed up your entry to the venue.

We advise against bringing valuables to the event, however, if you choose to do so please keep them hidden from view where possible.

There are medical and welfare facilities available within TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre. Please ask a member of security to direct you to the facilities if required.

You are permitted to bring required medication into TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre. Please bring a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s note. Please make sure you only bring enough for the duration of the concert and ensure you keep it safe with you at all times.

Umbrellas are not permitted as they obscure the view for others.

Any cameras that are deemed as “Professional” will not be permitted into the arena.

Permitted:
Non-Professional Recording Equipment (Point & Shoot Cameras, Flip Video Cameras, etc.)

Not Permitted:
Professional Recording (Photo, Video, Audio) Equipment (NO Detachable Zoom Lense, Tripods or Other Commercial Equipment) Selfie Sticks

The venue and surrounding areas are covered by CCTV.

Once you leave the venue you will not be allowed back in. 

Free drinking water is available from the bars at the venue.
