Michael Ball & Alfie Boe are stopping off in Scarborough on Wednesday 28th June as part of their outdoor summer tour.

  • Michael Ball is a musical theatre star from Bromsgrove and Alfie Boe is an acclaimed tenor from Fleetwood.
 
  • Michael Ball’s theatre career began in the 80s when he starred in multiple West End shows including: Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and Aspects of Love.
 
  • Alfie Boe has also starred in Les Miserables, playing Jean Valjean in the 25th Anniversary Concert in London and also playing the part on the Broadway show.
 
  • In the early 90s Michael Ball released his first 2 albums which peaked at number 1 and 3 and ventured out on his first 2 UK tours.
 
  • Michael represented the United Kingdom in 1992 at the Eurovision Song Contest finishing second with the song “One Step Out of Time”
 
  • Alfie Boe’s first public performance was in his hometown of Fleetwood where he performed in a “Songs from the Shows” presentation at the Marine Hall.
 
  • Alfie Boe moved to London and studied singing at the Royal College of Music, the National Opera Studio and the Royal Opera House’s Vilar Young Artists Programme.
 
  • Michael was voted Most Popular Musical Actor over the last 21 years by the Theatregoers Club of Great Britain.
 
  • Alfie Boe has won a Tony Award and a Silver Clef Award.
